For almost twenty years I got all trained up in business, process, people systems, coaching, recruiting, facilitation, leadership, change, innovation, social profit and entrepreneurship. I was chosen for year-long deep-dive culture-shift training and I graduated first across all MBA programs in my year. I was going places. And then... And then I met my children. I faced a health crisis that forced me to adapt to the idea that I was going different places than I'd trained for, prepared for, or expected for myself. I became addicted to nature and peace. I met my deeper self head-on, and fell in love with creative expression. But...my WORK! I'm excellent, now, all trained-up. I'm smart, I'm skilled; a systems thinker who sees what no one else sees, through the context of many lenses all at once. I crave to work. Just, not all day, every day. I also need to own my time for my life's purposes. That's why you're so lucky. I'm here for you. |
Here I am.
I can help with what you're trying to do. Whatever it is, communication is the heart, while processes and people make up at least 70% of it. Those happen to be my specialties. And, I get real work done with tangible results. Are you one of the few? I work with only a few clients at a time, across a variety of activities. I choose my clients and they choose me, whether it's ad hoc or a project over time. What's in it for me? I get to use my knowledge and skills, and get paid, which lets me devote some of my time to my other pursuits - a novel, a game, and a movement, for starters. What's in it for you? Management |
I will manage any team of people that finds itself between managers, or take over a neglected project, to help get things back on track. This can be in any discipline, from technical to operational to administrative. I will help keep the team and project on track, identify gaps and needs, and help you establish a plan going forward, including supporting recruitment or promotion of the permanent manager.

Coaching |
I help people smoothly take the next step in their careers, transition to new responsibilities, take a step back, or establish their priorities. I have helped more than a hundred marginal performers find their mojo and start producing great work on time within a few months. I support leaders to map and strategize growing responsibility chains, or gracefully step back into a less demanding role. I have strong, proven approaches for time management, especially for people who resist traditional systems or are working with ADHD and Aspergers. Soft skills improve dramatically when working with me.

Facilitation |
I facilitate groups from one to one hundred to establish Vision, Strategize, Action Plan, perform Root Cause Analysis, engage a Team Startup or After Action Review, work through interpersonal issues, or brainstorm for innovation. I have been trained in group facilitation by four different recognized organizations, and have practiced these skills with groups across sectors, functions, cultures and purposes over many years. I specialize in cross-functional facilitation.

Recruiting |
I will work with you to establish a unique recruiting strategy, refine a goal-driven recruiting process, act as your in-house recruiter, train your staff to do a better job of recruiting, and make sure you get the right people to make your teams strong. I provide ad hoc and group training for managers about recruiting effectively for culture without falling prey to bias. I will help you find workable approaches to diversify your workforce.

I will analyze your systems and hard data to provide you with a clear picture of your current state, gaps, and potential avenues for direction. Does your strategy enable your vision? Do your goals support your strategy? Are your internal processes aligned to drive the behaviours you need? What metrics should you follow?
